I bought a fridge.
It’s kind of a big deal! Instead of stressing or worrying or having to organise repairmen and whatnot, when our fridge died on the weekend, we decided it was time to replace it. My first whitegood purchase! And they’re going to deliver it tomorrow and get rid of the old one, so hurrah.
Mum and I were talking about money things on the weekend. I think it’s good not to be too hung up about money, which is a challenge when you don’t have much. I wouldn’t go out and spend thousands of dollars on shoes or anything, but these few new things I’ve been able to buy recently thanks to an interest free loan from dad have just made life so much easier. I paid off a credit card and put some of the money towards another bank debt I have. But I was also able to buy a new computer to make my work life more efficient (oh it is so wonderful!), I could buy some clothes to replace all the ones with holes in them that were depressing me, I could give some extra money to ministry and I could buy a new fridge! I’ve also been able to do things like go to the movies or out for dinner without completely stressing about the cost.
So I am very grateful to dad for the loan, but mostly grateful to God for the way he provides.

what's it all about?
I'm a Christian. I get absorbed in lots of different pursuits, and my attention frequently gets snagged on whatever latest shiny thing pops into my view. I write, I sing, I design, I read, I edit, I make things, I play WoW, I play piano, I try and record music. And I struggle with depression. This blog is about all these things. And probably other things as well.
